Cheektowaga, NY – All airports are now complying with mandated baggage screening procedures. It is part of the Aviation and Transportation Security Act to ensure travel safety.
If a bag fails to match a passenger on board a flight, it will not be placed on the airplane.
Congressman Jack Quinn, R-Hamburg, appeared at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Friday to examine the new procedures. Quinn says there might be some "glitches" in the system, but overall the airport is doing a fine job.
