Advocates push for keeping New York's safety net intact

Albany, NY – Advocates for the poor rallied in Albany Wednesday. They're trying to preserve funding for safety net programs that low income New Yorkers depend on.

On The Capitol Pressroom on WBFO, host Susan Arbetter talked with Mark Dunlea of the Hunger Action Network and Sociology Professor Richard Lachmann of SUNY-Albany. Lachmann says the demand for the safety net is greater than ever in New York.
