Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority members failed to approve the $215,000 contract buy-out for Buffalo School Deputy Superintendent Folasade Oladele. The Board's vote was split down the middle, three to three.

The Board said a decision on Oladele's future should be left to the Board of Education. Mayor Byron Brown says he would vote against a full years buy out.

"I don't like the process but I don't make the decisions for the school district, I didn't think this was in the best interest of the taxpayers or the children of the school district. I was prepared to vote against it today," said Brown.

Brown said the board will discuss other options, such as assigning Oladele to other work if a contract buy-out takes place.
