BPO and Chorus present rare Puccini Cantata

Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus join this Sunday to premiere a newly discovered Puccini Cantata.

The Passport to Europe concert features Puccini's Cessato il suon dell'Armi. It is the first time the cantata will have been performed in America and only the second performance worldwide.

The chorus will perform with the BPO on Sunday at 2:30 in Kleinhans Music Hall.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus director Doreen Rao about the rare performance.
