BPO celebrates 75 years with gifts for the community

Buffalo, NY – Saturday night the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra presents a classical Christmas concert. Then on Sunday they finish off the season with a visit from Saint Nick at Kleinhans Music Hall. But the BPO has more to celebrate this year than the Holidays. It's the orchestra's 75th anniversary.

To mark the occasion, they are selling a BPO calendar, and a commemorative book filled with historic photographs chronicling the BPO's history. There also is a five CD set filled with archival music from the BPO.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak spent some time with music director JoAnn Falletta talking about the special collection - and reminiscing about the BPO.

The Classical Christmas concert is Saturday at 8:00 PM and A Visit from St. Nick is Sunday at 2:30 PM.
