Buffalo man gets 5 years for using vehicle against police

Feb 14, 2018

A Buffalo man has been sentenced to five years in prison, plus five years of post-release supervision, for attempting to run down two police officers with his car.

Kenneth Pringle, 24, was driving with an expired inspection sticker on December 18, 2016 when he led police on a chase through an ice storm.

He became stuck in traffic at Best Street and Masten Avenue. When two officers tried to approach Pringle's vehicle on foot, Pringle turned his car into the oncoming lane and tried to strike them. He was apprehended at his home after leading police there in a car chase.

He pleaded guilty to first degree attempted assault this past November.
