Buffalo Theatres Giving Free Samples
By Joyce Kryszak
Buffalo, NY – The only thing better than theatre in Buffalo is free theatre in Buffalo. The Theatre Alliance of Buffalo is offering a promotion to lure new audiences.

Seven theatres in Buffalo, along with theatres across the country, are offering one free night of theatre all month long.
Anyone can take advantage of the offer, says Constance McEwen Caldwell of the Theatre Alliance of Buffalo. But the idea isn't really to give a price break to Buffalo's already loyal theatre patrons. It's to give non-theatre-goers a "free sample" and hope they'll want to come back for more.
There is a whole sampler plater of theatre available for the taking. The participating theatres are: the Irish Classical, the Jewish Repertory, the Kavinoky, MusicalFare, Road Less Traveled Productions, Theater of Youth and the Ujima Theatre Company.
McEwen Caldwell said tickets went up on the Alliance's web site last week for the 1,000 free seats made available through October. She said 400 reservations were scooped up within the first couple of hours. But she said people shouldn't give up even if the seats sell out because more seats could be added and there could be cancellations.
She said people who attend the free night of theatre will be asked to fill out a short survey. And, of course, the information will be used to invite them back.
Reservations and information are available at Theatre Alliance of Buffalo.
