Community Health Center of Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, NY – Niagara Falls residents now have their own Community Health Center. It is the first federally qualified health center to provide primary medical care for residents. The Community Health Center of Buffalo has expanded its services into Niagara Falls.
Assembly woman Crystal Peoples-Stokes appeared at the new Community Health Center on 10th Street in the Falls Thursday.
"This is what ever citizen needs to have access to," said Peoples-Stokes.
This center will now provide important services to those in need of health care. Mary Craig, president and CEO of the Erie Niagara Area Health Education Center, applauds completion of this new health resource for citizens.
"This is one of those things we can put a check mark by and say center open," said Craig.
Western New York Congresswoman Louise Slaughter played role in the federal funds for htis center
"I believe that health care is a human right. I believe that with all my heart," said Congresswoman Slaguther.

The city of Niagara Falls has been used unconventional methods to help improve health care for its citizens said Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster.
"We knocked on peoples door and said have you had your colestrol l checked lately, accept for I don't drive and I'm afraid to work past that corner because there is a crack dealer there...so we got rid of the crack dealer," said Dyster.
This new community health center will help Falls residents receive a variety of primary medical services for all ages regardless of the ability to pay. That includes pediatrics, women's health, and rapid HIV Testing.
