LeRoy, NY – On August 1, 1922, Henry Ford's chauffeur was arrested for speeding in LeRoy, while driving Ford, Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone through Genesee County. Ford fought the 43 mph ticket in a 15 mph zone, and eventually paid for signs calling LeRoy a "speed trap."
