A state campground in the Catskills may receive a few upgrades.
The Department of Environmental Conservation is proposing a plan for new management and improvements for the Mongaup Pond Campground in the town of Livingston Manor.
Comments about the management plan will be accepted through October 1. Proposed changes to the 680-acre Sullivan County campground include a lakeside picnic area, a pavilion with universal access, six accessible lean-tos with fireplaces and privy access as well as a new parking lot.
The Department of Environmental Conservation will host an open house on the plan at its New Paltz office on Sept 16.
