Fears follow financial troubles at Newfane hospital
Financial troubles have Niagara County residents concerned that the Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane could be headed for closure.
Officials with the hospital admit that budgetary challenges have forced a number of layoffs and reductions in services. Hospital spokeswoman Carolyn Moore has stated that there are no plans to close the facility.
Still, local town supervisors are holding a meeting on Monday to establish a course of action for keeping the hospital open.
