Buffalo, NY – The Finance Committee of the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority is requesting confirmation that future budget gaps with the county can be closed. Without that assurance, a recommendation will be made that the board return to a control period.
County Budget Director Gregory Gach is lobbying for more time, claiming that a Tuesday deadline is too soon to compile the requested information.
The control board foresees budget gaps arising as soon as 2011.
