Buffalo, NY – Civic leader Kevin Gaughan is about to embark on one of his biggest government downsizing attempts. Gaughan announced that he will launch a new effort to downsize the New York State Legislature.
Gaughan said after talking with thousands of voters across our region about downsizing local governments, he will fight for a state-wide referendum. Gaughan wants to trim the senate by 12 and the assembly by 24-members.
Gaughan made his comments Tuesday from the19th floor of the Liberty Building where his downtown law office is located. Here are some highlights of his latest attempt to downsize government.
