Buffalo, NY – At a time when the music industry is all about American Idol and auto-tune, Tom Weber decided to search out a more authentic kind of music. So, the Pittsburg film maker went on the road following 16 singer-song writers for ten years to the bars and clubs and coffee houses where they make music the old-fashioned way.
One of them is Hamburg native Peter Case, who performs in Buffalo on October 12 at the Sportsmen's Tavern. Weber's documentary, Troubadour Blues also premieres on October 14 at the Screening Room for the opening of the Buffalo International Film Festival.
Weber talked with WBFO's Joyce Kryszak about why the Troubadours' story is an important one to tell.
