Hydro-fracking debate heats up

Buffalo, NY – Citizens against hydro-fracturing held a protest in downtown Buffalo Monday.

They're urging the State Legislature to approve a bill that would place another one-year moratorium the controversial process to extract natural gas. WBFO'S Eileen Buckley talked to both sides in this battle.

Bob Cisielski is chairman the Sierra Club's Niagara group. He participated in Monday's protest.

But those in support of hydro-fracking include energy companies that perform the process. WBFO News spoke with Dennis Holbrook, executive vice president of Norse Energy in Buffalo. He defends the hydro-fracking process.
