I-190 vehicle fire causes smoky conditions

Mar 21, 2014

An earlier car fire on the I-190 southbound in the Buffalo area tied up traffic late this morning.

The fire occurred near the ramp of the I-190 at Exit 53 and blocked all lanes at one point. The blaze caused a smoky scene and the ramp was closed late Friday morning. The ramp was shut down for about an hour, but has since been cleared.

Firefighters put out the vehicle blaze and traffic returned to normal early Friday afternoon.
