Demolition underway at church Colvin & Tacoma

The demolition of a North Buffalo landmark got underway on Friday.

After standing for nearly 100 years, the former North Park Baptist Church at Colvin and Tacoma Avenues will soon be history.

The building has been home to a number of denominations and faiths over the years. It has been vacant since 2006, and an arson fire last year forced the owners to consider demolition.
