As the frigid temperatures and blowing snow move through western New York Tuesday many local businesses are still working hard. The restaurant Just Pizza says they’re delivering food to areas without driving bans.
The company’s eleven locations including franchises are fully staffed Tuesday. Just Pizza's Vice President of Marketing and Franchise Development Mark Campanella said they’ve been very busy all day.
“[In] weather like this people aren’t leaving the house and if they’ve gotten to the grocery store and there’s no more bread, milk, or eggs, well there’s always pizza,” said Campanella.
Campanella says he’s advising delivery drivers to take extra precautions during the inclement weather.
“You’ve got to take your time, look both ways, look in front of you, and look behind you. When you get to your deliveries destination pull off to the side, so you’re not blocking traffic, and just be cautious,” said Campanella.
Ciao Bella Hair Studio is another local business that was open Tuesday, until a driving ban took effect in Kenmore. Owner and Stylist Christina Falzone says she doesn’t expect the weather to affect her businesses bottom-line too much.
“Fortunately we won’t take too big of a hit, because we are the type of business that appointments can be rescheduled,” said Falzone.
Falzone says her advice to those hoping to venture outside is to stay home and wait out the storm.
