More snow expected as late winter cold persists

Apr 3, 2016

Round two of our late season winter weather arrives late Sunday afternoon. The National Weather Service has posted another winter weather advisory for all of Western New York from 5:00 Sunday afternoon until 2:00 Monday afternoon.

Meteorologist Aaron Reynolds says more snow is expected Sunday night.

"We have another clipper system coming through," Reynolds said. "Snow will start late (Sunday) and continue. Storm totals will reach three to six inches."

Saturday night's snowfall dropped one to three inches in most parts of Western New York. But in Chautauqua County, nearly seven inches fells in Frewsburg with more than four inches falling in Jamestown.

Reynolds says there will be a brief warm-up into the 40s by mid-week before below-normal temperatures return Friday.
