Celebrate Valentine's Day with arias.
Buffalo, NY – The Ars Nova Musicians team up with four vocalists for an operatic Valentine's concert. Good morning. I'm Bill Raffel with Music Notes.
Even if you've never seen all of La Boheme, I'll bet you've heard "Musetta's Aria" sometime before. Soprano Cristen Gregory will sing it Sunday (2/8) at 7?p.m. in the Lancaster Opera House, with Mary Louise Nanna conducting. Three other vocalists will join her: Soprano Maria Fortuna, Tenor Timothy Schulman, and Bass Michael Dean, with Raya Lee narrating.
Cristen says this is the second year in a row Ars Nova has done an operatic concert.
WOLN listeners, you can see Cristen Gregory perform with Voci D'Amore on Wednesday, February 11th at 7:30?p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church on East Corydon Street in Bradford. Or drive up and join some WBFO listeners as the Ars Nova Musicians present Divas and Their Beaus Sunday (2/8) at 7?p.m. in the Lancaster Opera House.
