New hotel opens in West Seneca
There is a node of hotels developing in West Seneca near the junction of the Main Line Thruway and Route 219.
Ellicott Development has built three hotels through its Ellicott Hospitality subsidiary in West Seneca, with a ribbon-cutting yesterday for the new Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, flanking the Staybridge Suites hotel.
The Hampton Inn-Buffalo South is just down Slade Road.
West Seneca Supervisor Sheila Meegan said they have helped develop a section of the town which needed development.
Ellicott CEO William Paladino said West Seneca has turned into a good place for his firm to do business and invest a lot of money.
"$30 million out in this area here. If we didn't believe in it we wouldn't have done it," said Paladino. "Being right at the crux of the 90 and the 219 is definitely a benefit to this location. As we do one, we have become sort of a hub for the destination type hotels and lodging," said Paladino.
Paladino noted his company isn't finished with hotels or investment in West Seneca, with major renovations for the Hampton Inn on the way.
