A 20-year-old Mumford man was hit by a car Saturday night in the town of Darien and died from his injuries.
Genesee County Sheriff Deputies say Casey Parnell of was struck around 9p.m. on Sumner Road.
Parnell was flown to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight to Erie County, where he died from his injuries on Sunday morning.
Authorities said Parnell was standing on the shoulder of the road when he suddenly stepped into the eastbound lane and was struck by a minivan.
An investigation into the accident continues. No charges have been filed.
