A Buffalo woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for selling prescription opioids.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Rose Smith, 66, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute fetanyl, oxymorphone, oxycodone and hydrocodone. She was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Lawrence Vilardo on Tuesday.
Her conviction stems from a 2014 search warrant executed on Smith's Littlefield Avenue home, where authorities found a large quantity of the pills and patches. Prosecutors determined she was selling her own prescriptions and those of at least two other people.
