“The truth is – the President is not going to silence me or the women who have stood up against him,” state Gillibrand.

Gillibrand responded to questions about the President's tweet from earlier this week accusing her of begging him for campaign contributions before he became president saying she would do anything for them.

“I think it was intended to be a sexist smear intended to silence me on something I care very deeply about,” replied Gillibrand.

Gillibrand told reporters say gave away all of Trump's past campaign contributions.

"The truth is – the President is not going to silence me or the women who have stood up against him," said U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

“We have actually given all is donations to a non-for-profit that deals with sexually violence,” Gillibrand explained

“Would you like the President to apologize?” asked Buckley.

“It’s not about me – it’s about all these women who have been standing up and trying to be heard because it’s a moment of reckoning right now in this country and women who have suffered sexual harassment, sexual violence and they need to be heard and they need to be able to tell their stories and what my job is then is to provide accountability,” Gillibrand responded.

Gillibrand was also asked about a potential presidential run against Trump in 2020, but she told reporters she is focused on running for reelection next year.

Gillibrand was quickly pulled away just three minutes into questions from reporters.
