Snowy weather across the region: Winter Weather Advisory

Light dusting of snow in the city of Buffalo Wednesday morning

It's a wintry day across Western New York.  Here in Buffalo, there's just a coating of snow on the ground.

Of greater concern are the plunging temperatures which caused untreated wet roads to freeze.

In the Southern Tier, lake effect snow is falling and could accumulate another two to four inches Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is continuing a winter weather advisory for all of Western New York through 6:00 p.m. Wednesday for snow and blowing snow.

Light snow will continue in the metro Buffalo region.  Additional accumulation of up to two inches is possible and it will remain cold with highs in the mid-20s.
