Washington, D.C. – A renowned scientist from Western New York was in the national spotlight Wednesday. UB scientist Esther Takeuchi was presented the National Medal for Technology and Innovation by President Barack Obama. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with Takeuchi by cell phone shortly before she received her award.
