Dunkirk, NY – A Dunkirk start-up company hopes to turn green waste into green energy - and green profits.

The anaerobic digestion facility would convert fruit pumice and other organic waste from companies such as Welch's into heat and electricity. The energy could then be sold back to the companies at a reduced rate.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak has more on Dunkirk Bio-Electric's plans to put the Southern Tier agricultural community on the map as innovators in alternative energy.
