A University at Buffalo student has been arraigned in Amherst Town Court in connection with a hit-and-run crash in November.

The incident occurred Nov. 1 near the Hadley Village apartments on the UB North Campus.

Hannah Christensen, 20, of Clifton Park, NY is accused of failing to stop after striking a 20-year-old UB undergraduate pedestrian, who was in a crosswalk on Hadley Road before 10 p.m. Police say a passing motorist witnessed the collision, stopped and called 911.

The victim remains hospitalized with a fractured pelvis and fractured skull, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury.

Christensen has been charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting it, which is a class E felony, and a traffic infraction of failure to yield to a pedestrian. The case has been held over for a grand jury review.
