Buffalo, NY – A newly published book of African folk stories features artwork created by a group of refugee children from Buffalo's West Side. The literacy project, led by Houghton College and Hope Refugee Services, did more than produce a collection of beautiful stories and art. Making the book, "Under the Story Tree," also helped the children reconnect with their lost homelands.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked to the children during their sometimes painful process of discovery. Click the audio player above to hear the story now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
