Summer-like weather has finally arrived in Western New York. High temperatures are expected to hit 80 or higher over the course of the next seven days.
Sunday will be sunny and breezy with winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour. That's prompted the National Weather Service to post a beach hazards statements for all beaches in Erie County Sunday. Strong waves and currents on Lake Erie will create dangerous swimming conditions.
Also, there's an air quality alert from 10am to 10pm because of higher levels of the pollutant ozone. People with respiratory conditions should limit their outdoor activities during those hours.
