Albany, NY – Two announcements out of Albany Tuesday left Western New York out of the equation for planned investment in the state.

It is reported that Western New York will not benefit from a multi-billion dollar public-private nano-technology package for SUNY Albany.

And a massive wind farm planned for off Lake Erie is not going to happen here now either.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with New York State Senator George Maziarz, chair of the Senate Energy Committee, to get his reaction. Maziarz said he is hopeful Western New York will eventually get its own big project.
