It may have been colder inside Buffalo Central Terminal Monday than it was outside the towering landmark of the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood. That cold was the focus of a news conference by two state legislators calling on Albany to put $5 million from the $400 million Buffalo Billion II into the complex.

A team of experts will be in Buffalo next week to study the Central Terminal and offer recommendations for how to reuse the East Side landmark. The study comes weeks after a locally-assembled panel, organized to choose a site for Buffalo's new train station, chose not to reopen the Terminal for that purpose.

Millions of dollars are being invested into development projects on Buffalo's East Side. While plans are crystallizing at the former site of Buffalo Forge on Broadway, it appears an overhaul of the Central Terminal has been put on hold.  As Business First's Jim Fink points out during WBFO's Press Pass, though the delay may disappoint some,  the overall development discussion provides a positive sign for an often overlooked part of the city.

A Canadian businessman and his local partners say they're still proceeding with plans to redevelop Buffalo's Central Terminal. Harry Stinson and his peers hosted a news conference at the East Side landmark Tuesday morning to offer their side of the story, two weeks after it was announced their developmental agreement would not be renewed.

The Hotel Henry in the H.H. Richardson complex has been open for a few weeks now. The group overseeing a cherished landmark on Buffalo's East Side has decided not to renew an agreement that gave a Toronto-based firm development rights.
