The Erie County Sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in gathering information regarding a firebombing incident Tuesday night in the town of Clarence.

Residents in the Town of Clarence have been dealing with problems on Tonawanda Creek Road for about a decade, as erosion has caused part of the road to collapse. During a stop there Monday, Sen. Charles Schumer warned that unless Congress acts, road funding will run out soon.

Home invader nabbed

A Clarence man has been charged in a home invasion case.

Thirty year old Justin Deho is facing multiple charges after he was found in a home that was being watched by a friend of the homeowner. State Police made the arrest. Deho is believed to have done work at the home in the past.

He was arraigned and is scheduled to be back in court later this month.

Erie County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Clarence man Friday on numerous charges of child molestation and pornography.

Forty-nine year old Craig Walek faces 44 felony counts of sexual abuse and the manufacture of pornography involving a young boy. Walek is being held on $1 million bail. Each count against him carries a multi-year prison term.

A felony hearing is scheduled for next week.
 

Clarence-based Greatbatch, Inc. is relocating its corporate headquarters to Frisco, Texas. 

The medical device manufacturer announced today that some top executives will move to the Dallas-Fort Worth area this summer, and further shifts will be considered as warranted.  The company says the move will allow it to operate in a stronger, more centralized business environment.
