Buffalo Police are investigating a couple of shootings - one fatal - that happened Wednesday eevening.

In a decision that could have implications across the state, an appeals court is blocking the release of New York City police body camera footage at least until it hears arguments in November.

A state trooper responding to a call about a suicidal and possibly armed man barricaded in his home near the Pennsylvania border early Monday was fatally shot along with the man, a school principal, officials said.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says a member of Buffalo's Bailey Boys Gang has pleaded guilty to a 2012 murder.

The charges against Harvey Weinstein in New York have expanded.

The former Hollywood mogul is already facing first-degree rape and other charges involving incidents with two women, in 2004 and 2013. Now, a grand jury in New York has charged Weinstein with allegedly committing a forcible sexual act against a third woman.

ALBANY — A New York state trooper responding to a domestic call early Monday morning was killed along with a suspect, officials said. The trooper was killed while responding to a domestic dispute south of the city of Corning, near the Pennsylvania state line, an official with knowledge of the investigation confirmed to The Associated Press.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to release the information.

Buffalo Police say two people have died from a shooting overnight in the city's Fruit Belt.

The owner of a prominent Buffalo towing company will spend one year in jail for his role in a pay-to-play scheme.

A Boston attorney was in Rochester Wednesday morning to announce that his firm is representing a group of people who say they were sexually abused by priests in the Rochester Catholic Diocese, during a period of time from 1950 to 1978.  

The lawyer, Mitchell Garabedian, who has been prominent for representing victims of sexual abuse by priests and was depicted in the movie Spotlight, is making allegations against 8 priests. Garabedian says the alleged victims are now between the ages of 52 and 77.
