Authorities say a grand jury will decide whether to bring criminal charges against a Western New York hunter who shot and killed a neighbor he mistook for a deer.

A drunk driver has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for crashing into a group of pedestrians, seriously injuring four of them.

An Alden woman has pleaded guilty to third degree welfare fraud in State Supreme Court. She is one of three women -  all childhood acquaintances - who were charged with fraudulently receiving more than $107,000 in welfare benefits while earning more than a half-million dollars income as aides for an elderly West Seneca woman.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says Alexandria Heath, 17, and Romaine Jirdon, 19 - both of Buffalo - have been arraigned in Buffalo City Court on a charge of murder in the second degree.
