A Rochester man accused of a terrorist-inspired plan to kill people in Rochester on New Year's Eve has pleaded guilty to a federal charge.

A Town of Concord woman has been arraigned on three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

$20,000 reward offered for cold case information

Authorities are offering $20,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the slaying of a teenage girl whose body was found in a Western New York field more than 35 years ago.

Two additional suspects have been indicted by a Chautauqua County Grand Jury for their roles in a brutal home invasion robbery and sexual assault in Jamestown.

A former member of the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club has acknowledged that his group was "nothing more than a criminal front, engaging in such crimes as drug distribution, firearms sales, committing violence and promoting prostitution." That is according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, which has accepted Emmett Green's guilty plea to RICO conspiracy. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Authorities say three people have been arrested after four others were stabbed during a fight in Buffalo's Central Park neighborhood.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office is warning Grand Island residents to secure their homes and vehicles after a string of break-ins over the past 24 hours.

TMZ Sports is reporting that it has obtained footage from the night Buffalo Bills rookie running back Jonathan Williams was arrested for drunk driving. The entertainment program reported the video includes Williams at one point begging the officer for mercy because he just got drafted.

State Police arrested a man in Rochester Sunday evening, charged with the sale of 150 packets of K2. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the state is getting tougher on the potent "synthetic marijuana," as it will most likely begin to spread across Western and Upstate New York.

Three law enforcement officers were killed and three others were injured in Baton Rouge, La., when a suspect fired on officers outside a convenience store.

This comes less than two weeks after a gunman opened fire on police at a protest in Dallas, killing five officers.

Law enforcers announced late Friday afternoon that a Buffalo man has been charged with making a threat of violence on social media against members of the Buffalo Police Department. The arrest was announced one week after Commissioner Daniel Derenda first reported a "credible threat" against officers.

The man in charge at the 911 Center in Rochester says he will investigate whether some dispatchers were sleeping on the job.  That’s what some photos posted on the blog of a local activist and blogger, Davy Vara show, although it is not clear when the photos were taken or whether the dispatchers were on duty at the time.

Buffalo Police have arrested a couple on child endangerment charges after three young children were discovered living in "deplorable conditions" on the city's West Side. Central District officers responded to a call at 5 p.m. Monday at a residence in the first block of 15th Street near York. The Buffalo Police Juvenile/Sex Offense Squad was also called in soon after.

Two people charged after burned body found

State Police say that two people have been arrested after the discovery of a burned body in Caledonia, southwest of Rochester, this week.

Troopers say that 35-year-old Aykut Ozkaynak and 42-year-old Mary Neverett, both of the Rochester area, are facing second degree murder charges. They also face a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

Buffalo Police had a busy holiday weekend. Monday night at Canalside, they had to break up several skirmishes as well as investigate unconfirmed reports of gunshots. Police were also called to no less than four shooting incidents within a 90-minute span late Sunday into early Monday morning.

Wyoming County Sheriff

After an extensive investigation, the Wyoming County Sheriff has arrested 40-year-old Jody Nelligan of Orchard Park on charges she set two separate fires in her father's house when family members were present.

An 11-year-old boy is in very serious condition and a 20-year-old man is in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center after being shot in the first block of Humason Avenue last night.
