Jeremy Zellner will remain the Chair of the Erie County Democratic Committee.

He was unanimously re-elected on Saturday at the biennial reorganization meeting. He was first elected back in 2012.  Zellner says the unanimous vote is a symbol of the unity and strength among democrats in Erie County.

The Chairmen of Erie County’s political committees are having mixed reactions to FBI Director James Comey’s announcement that the bureau is not recommending presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton be criminally charged for mishandling classified data on private email servers.

Hillary Clinton struggled to win the local vote, but the former New York senator ended up winning big across most of the state in Tuesday's primary.  After some tense moments, when the vote tallies appeared decided, Democratic headquarters was filled with excitement from party leaders who strongly supported Clinton.

To no one's surprise, Hillary Rodham Clinton is running for president and Erie County Democrats are rushing to push her candidacy.

An appearance by Texas Governor Rick Perry in Buffalo provided a boost to a Tuesday fundraiser for Rob Astorino, the Republican candidate in the New York gubernatorial race.
