A continuing public art initiative led by the Albright Knox Art Gallery is growing, with three new works just announced for locations within the City of Buffalo. The first of the works was formally dedicated Thursday on Main Street.
There's a new public art project in a historic section of Buffalo's Waterfront: the Tifft Farm Nature Preserve. Rochester artist Roberley Bell's sculpture and site-specific artwork is buried deep in the preserve's woods.
The Public Art Initiative between the Albright Knox Art Gallery and Erie County has now headed into area schools. WBFO'S Focus on Education reporter Eileen Buckley says thanks to a generous donations 60,000 art kits will be in the hands of local school students.
