The Buffalo Bills have signed general manager Doug Whaley to a contract extension.

Ryan O'Reilly will represent the Buffalo Sabres in the 2016 NHL All-Star Game. It's a well-deserved recognition, said writer Bill Hoppe during WBFO's Behind the Bench. He believes O'Reilly has been among the league's best centers this year. 

In the last game of the 2015-2016 season for Buffalo and with playoff hopes on the line for the New York Jets, the Bills finished on a high note.

The NFL has selected Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy for this year’s Pro Bowl game. 

Though it appears the Buffalo Bills will miss the playoffs again this season, analyst Matt Sabuda believes the remaining games hold some importance. He wants to see if Tyrod Taylor can prove himself as the team's "franchise quarterback."

UB names Allen Greene its new Athletic Director

It didn't take long for the University at Buffalo to find its successor to departing athletics director Danny White. Allen Greene, who worked directly under White at UB since 2012, has been promoted to the post.

The final margin may have been close, but the Bills 20-13 loss to the Patriots once again featured critical penalties and poor clock management. "These types of mistakes are beyond tiresome. And you have to wonder how much is on coaching at this point in the season," said analyst Matt Sabuda.

It's not often that the challenger in a world title fight can arrange to have the bout hosted in his hometown. But Lockport's Amer Abdallah will get to try for the World Kickboxing Association light heavyweight championship in front of a hometown crowd Saturday night.


Injuries are mounting for the New England Patriots, the Bills opponent this Monday. But as analyst Matt Sabuda points out, as long as quarterback Tom Brady is healthy, the Patriots will remain a formidable foe.

The University at Buffalo is in the market for a new Athletics Director. U.B. announced today Danny White is leaving to accept a position at the University of Central Florida.

The Bills' 22-17 victory over the New York Jets Thursday night was fueled by the production of their offensive backfield. On Friday morning's Beyond the Playbook, analyst Matt Sabuda says key performances were turned in by LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams.
