Given the widespread use of cell phones among young people, researchers at St. Bonaventure will be looking at the impact that the technology is having on students in the classroom.

A Buffalo native has been named as the next president of St. Bonaventure University. Dr. Dennis DePerro was introduced to the campus community Monday morning at a news conference in the University’s Quick Center that was live streamed.

St. Bonaventure University hosted an STEM camp featuring international high school students. WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley reports the students came from China, Spain & the U.S. to work on a variety of projects to enhance their learning in a cross-culture atmosphere.

St. Bonaventure University has announced Dr. Andrew Roth will serve as interim president. Roth will succeed Sister Margaret Carney who announced she would step down July 31st.

St. Bonaventure University has received funds towards its new facility. The Center for Arab and Islamic Studies has received $70,000 from donors in its Western New York community.

The president of St. Bonaventure University has announced plans to step down and retire. Sr. Margaret Carney said she will be leaving July 31st.

St. Bonaventure University issued an alert Sunday about a reported sexual assault incident.  In a Twitter report, St. Bona said over the weekend two people were sexually assaulted in an off-campus residence on East Union Street in the village of Allegany.

A St. Bonaventure graduate has been selected to be one of the gift bearers at Wednesday's Mass with Pope Francis in Washington. WBFO's Focus on Education Reporter Eileen Buckley says the woman selected is a leader of young Catholic organization in the D.C. area.

Tuesday is National Philanthropy Day.  But at St. Bonaventure University, students are encouraged to give something back every day.  As WBFO's Mark Scott reports, such giving is part of the Franciscan tradition that dates back to the days of St. Francis of Assisi.
