A collaboration has brought a WNY Mobile STEAM and Maker Lab to some area schools and after school programs.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says students at the Buffalo Academy of Science were the first school to try out the program.

As Buffalo's new economy shifts to high tech manufacturing there is a strong need for trained employees.  WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley says STEM training is playing a key role to prepare the future workforce for advanced manufacturing job.

St. Bonaventure University hosted an STEM camp featuring international high school students. WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley reports the students came from China, Spain & the U.S. to work on a variety of projects to enhance their learning in a cross-culture atmosphere.

St. Bonaventure University will be hosting two separate STEM camps this summer. WBFO's Focus on Education Reporter Eileen Buckley says one is a creative camp for local students, the second will be a STEM camp feature international students.

Area Catholic school teachers learned how to bring STEM into their classrooms.  The Diocese of Buffalo held its STREAM Academy for its elementary teachers.  WBFO's Focus on Education Reporter Eileen Buckley says this allows teachers to incorporate religion and art in STEM Learning.

Western New York STEM Hub is bringing a Student Spaceflight Experiments program to more than 600-Buffalo and Niagara Falls public and charter school students.  WBFO'S Focus on Education Reporter Eileen Buckley says an effort is underway to raise the needed funds to support the project.
