"Move Day" began at 7 a.m. Friday for the staff and patients of Women & Children's Hospital, as they take the 1.2 mile journey to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and settle into their new home at the Oishei Children's Hospital. Follow this page for updates throughout the day.

A new chapter is about to begin for Buffalo’s medical community, as staff at Women and Children’s Hospital close out 125 years of welcoming newborns into the world and treating sick kids. Plans to move to the new Oishei Children’s Hospital have been in the works for years, but as they come to fruition, hospital staff are having an emotional time saying goodbye.

Kaleida Health has replaced Ciminelli Real Estate with Nick Sinatra of Sinatra & Company and Ellicott Development, owned by Carl and William Paladino, to redevelop the Women and Children’s Hospital site off Elmwood Avenue on Bryant Street in Buffalo, once it becomes vacant.
