A new Canadian poll suggests 43 percent of Chinese-Canadians surveyed have been threatened or intimidated since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

More than 60 percent report they have changed their routines to avoid unpleasant encounters and about 50% say they have been called names or insulted.

Twenty-nine percent describe being made to feel as though they pose a threat to other people's health and safety.  Just over half are worried Asian children will be bullied when they return to school.
