Oct 22, 2016

The traveler's lodging service Airbnb is facing significant challenges in New York State.

It is already illegal in the state to rent an apartment for fewer than 30 days. Governor Cuomo has now signed a law that could fine Airbnb hosts up to $7500 if they list a property on the site or similar platforms. Airbnb is suing to overturn to bill, claiming it will cause irreparable harm to its business.
