Buffalo's Catholic Diocese issued a statement late Friday afternoon announcing determinations by Bishop Richard Malone on allegations of child sexual abuse against four priests.

Investigator Scott F. Riordan was asked to investigate allegations against Rev. Fabian J. Maryanski, Rev. Mark J. Wolski, Rev. Roy Herberger, and Msgr. Frederick R. Leising. The Diocesan Review Board met Thursday to review Riordan's report and made recommendations to Malone

Allegations of child sexual abuse against Maryanski and Wolski were found to be substantiated. Both remain on administrative leave while the results of the investigation are reviewed by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome. That body will make the final determination.

Allegations of child sexual abuse against Herberger and Leising were found to be unsubstantiated. Both are back in active ministry.
