A Buffalo man pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court Tuesday to attempting to kill a woman with a samarai sword.
Benjamin Frost Sr., 61, pleaded guilty to one count of second degree attempted murder, the highest sustainable charge in an indictment against him.
Frost attacked a female victim with a samurai sword during the evening of March 27, 2019, intending to kill her. The incident took place inside an apartment at the Kenfield Homes on Edison Avenue in Buffalo.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center for severe cuts to her head, arms, hand, thighs and back, and is still recovering from her injuries.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 13. Frost faces a maxiumum of 25 years in prison. He has been remanded without bail.
