Dennis, a native of Bronx, NY, is described as a Black female, 5 feet and 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 125 pounds.

Her mother, Letisha Dennis, has traveled to Buffalo with the hope of relocating her daughter very soon.

"She's an engineering major, an honor roll student living in the honors dorm," Dennis said of her daughter in a phone interview with WBFO Thursday morning. "She's a very nice person. And she's very studious. She takes her work and she takes her schooling very seriously. She gets good grades, and is all-around good."

Police suspect she may either still be in Western New York or may have traveled to Yonkers. Investigators say there is no evidence of foul play at this time but they believe she may be in need of medical attention. Letisha Dennis tells WBFO she's unaware of any immediate serious medical issues her daughter may have. She added that they last spoke on Friday evening, one day before her disappearance.

Her last message from Saniyya was a text message apologizing for missing a call earlier Saturday, with the promise to call back later. That call has not come.

Letisha Dennis finished he interview with WBFO by forwarding an emotional message to her daughter.

"Saniyya, if you're listening, I'm here I'm in Buffalo. I'm looking for you," she said. "I'm not going to leave Buffalo without you, wherever you are. I just want you to get in contact with me. Just get in contact with me, because I need to find you and I'm going to be right here until that happens."
