Buffalo police are continuing their investigation into a shooting this morning in which a 15-year-old was struck in the leg.

The teen was apparently trying to escape from an intruder in a home in the 200 block of Carl Street when he was shot, likely with a pellet gun. He was able to walk to the Math Science Technology Preparatory School on East Delavan Avenue around 9:30 a.m. He was taken by ambulance to ECMC for treatment of his non-life threatening injury.

Earlier reports indicated the teen was struck while walking to school. Police found drug paraphernalia in the Carl Street house while investigating the incident.
