Carbon monoxide leak forces UB evacuation

Feb 18, 2013

A dorm on UB's North Campus was evacuated for nearly three hours for a reported carbon monoxide leak Sunday night.

Officials say five people were treated for nausea; two were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.

National Fuel personnel inspected the building before its 500 residents were allowed to return to the Richmond quad housing complex.

Officials say a faulty boiler is to blame for the leak.
