Drone use regulations still up in the air

President Obama issued a memorandum today regarding the collection of personal data through the use of drones.

The Presidential order will require federal agencies to review privacy and civil rights protections in establishing controls over the use of these increasingly popular machines. One primary question is how long collected data can be retained.

Government officials believe that it will still be two or three years before these guidelines are made final.
