Buffalo NY – Former Buffalo Common Council member Brian Davis is now under investigation by the FBI.
The Buffalo News says FBI agents are expanding their investigation into how Davis handled hundreds of thousands in city funding. Those dollars were earmarked to assist community not-for-profit organizations. The 41 year old Davis resigned last year after pleading guilty to misdemeanor election law charges. He was sentenced to 200 hours of communtiy service.
WBFO News caught up with Mayor Byron Brown Friday afternoon to ask him about the federal probe. Brown says any request that Davis would have made was the same process used by all city council members.
